Franklin E Hall was born December 19, 1936. Married to Patricia Johnson Hall (54 years) and has two sons and one daughter, twelve grandchildren, one great grand daughter (2) and a great grandson arriving in August. Graduated Smithfield High School in 1955. Worked 20 years in local meat packing business and have been in the pallet and lumber business since 1973. In 1979 I started my own pallet and lumber brokerage business, Hallwood Enterprises, Inc. and currently serve as its Chairman and CEO.
I am a life member of the United Methodist Church and the last 60 years as a member of Trinity Unity Methodist Church in Smithfield, Virginia serving in many capacities most recently Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and the Church Building Committee.. I have served as Chairman of the Virginia Board of Forestry Chairman of the Local Electoral Board, Chairman of the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Industrial Development Authority. Currently I am President of the Senior German Club of Smithfield.
I consider myself a lifelong Conservative and worked and served for 20 years in the Republican Party of Virginia as local Chairman, Fourth District Chairman, Western District Vice-Chairman and First Vice Chairman and contributed to all political offices from the White House, both Houses of Congress, the Governorship and both the Virginia Senate and the House of Delegates being in Republican hands.
