A highly accomplished government affairs executive, Heidi Stirrup has enjoyed an outstanding track record of achieving successful legislative accomplishments, managing government affairs practices, leading grassroots efforts, and winning public affairs strategies.
In August 2008, Mrs. Stirrup began her work with Faithful Catholic Citizens (FCC), creating a group of active Catholics dedicated to informing and educating others on issues central to Catholic teaching relative to candidates running for public office. In so doing, Mrs. Stirrup mobilizes grassroots Catholic voters consistent with the Holy Father’s call to participate fully in the political process with an understanding of whether candidates’ positions are consistent with the Church’s teachings.
As a member of the Board of Restore the Founder’s Vision, Mrs. Stirrup brings extensive knowledge of the political process and campaign experience to this newly created organization that will revive the principles espoused by our Founders that our rights to life, liberty and property are God-given, and government is established by the people to safeguard these rights, and government must be limited so that our freedom can be preserved.
Before starting FCC, Mrs. Stirrup was a senior legislative advisor for one of America’s top law firms representing a variety of corporate clients. She developed and executed strategies to achieve clients’ goals through advocacy aimed at the key decision makers in Congress and federal departments.
Earlier, Mrs. Stirrup was a key policy advisor to former House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX) where she worked closely with other congressional leaders and staff to advance policy objectives in issues areas of life, family, tax relief, and education. Mrs. Stirrup previously served in the White House Offices of Presidential Personnel and Private Sector Initiatives under President Reagan. She also lobbied on behalf of a national trade association representing construction contractors and managed the lobbying efforts for the Christian Coalition.
Mrs. Stirrup has testified before Congress and appeared on numerous television and radio programs to discuss and debate current issues including NBC Today Show, CNN, CNBC, C-SPAN and commented for print media.
Mrs. Stirrup is a seasoned and successful professional who has an in-depth understanding of Washington with an extensive network of contacts. Her experiences have helped her become a responsive problem-solver with keen judgment. She is a leader who inspires confidence and is also a team player. She possesses excellent communication skills and articulates positions and policies persuasively.
